Why marketing AI exists
The session opened with the problem these products solve: the friction before your real work starts. The blank page, the manual research pull, the digging through multiple systems for source information. Marketing AI applies one principle to the most common marketing jobs — remove that friction with purpose-built products that are tailored because Visa's brand guidance, voice and data are built in.
One destination: the AI Marketing Accelerator
The newly launched AI Marketing Accelerator at aimarketing.visa.com is the single place for all trusted AI tools. It is where you find the products as they launch, learn about regional innovation and AI case studies, and pick up learning resources on practical ways to apply AI. The product landscape maps options to common marketing jobs, from research through content creation to sales enablement — whatever job you are doing, there is probably a tool for it or a pilot you can join.
The three products live today
- Strategic Insights Generator — investigates a broad research question and returns sourced findings, in a quick mode or a deep-research mode. It draws on more than 20,000 proprietary knowledge assets from the Visa Insights Exchange alongside validated public sources, and can export the results into a starter slide deck, a memo and the raw data.
- Copy Generator — creates on-brand first drafts for social posts, emails, articles and blogs, guided by Visa voice and tone options, audience settings and internal knowledge. Drop in a brief or upload a reference document, adapt by channel, language and length, then refine in line. Case studies and thought leadership templates are coming next.
- Sales Asset Generator — builds structured, cited first drafts for sales enablement, most useful for B2B. A product tear sheet and a Sales 101 starter deck are available today, connected to the product catalog taxonomy, with the new brand templates and more asset types on the way.
Under the hood
Ashkrit Sharma, tech lead for the Strategic Insights Generator, walked through what happens when a question comes in. A multi-agent system first identifies the intent, breaks the problem into smaller questions and launches sub-agents against proprietary research and the web. A knowledge agent and discovery agent are grounded in close to 30,000 proprietary research documents, so answers are backed by Visa's own research. A reasoning and reflection step then checks the answer and loops back for more searches if gaps remain. The right model is picked for each step from best-in-class options across Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, and you can expand the explanation note on any result to see exactly what ran.
Rules of the road
- Use only the approved tools curated for Marketing, and stay inside Visa-approved environments.
- Protect data. Upload third-party content only with written permission and confirmed ownership, and check confidential sources before they go into a deliverable or external marketing.
- Review every output for accuracy, substantiation, brand fit, cultural sensitivity, and legal, IP, privacy and reputational risk. AI drafts are a first draft; a human is accountable and stays in the loop.
- Disclose and document. Keep your required reviews and retain the prompt and settings in case they are needed.
Getting started
Three steps, about five minutes. Go to aimarketing.visa.com, review what each product does, and choose the one that matches your task. Each product has a Quick Start guide if you want a walkthrough before you dive in.
What's coming next
- Brief Generator — turns any research, input and business context into a structured, ready-to-use creative or media brief. Launching on the Accelerator the week after the session.
- More knowledge sources for additional grounding across every agent.
- New visual identity templates applied at the start of every workflow as the new brand rolls out, with the chance to reskin existing collateral.
- More asset types, starting with case studies.
- Agents that share context — research flows carried directly into the creative brief, into copy and into assets, so you stop starting over at each step.
From the Q&A
- Confidential sources in client work: everything from the Insights Exchange is marked Visa confidential. It can inform your work, but go through your approval channels before sharing anything with a client.
- Copy for consumer payment UX: not in the current MVP bundle, but flagged as an exciting use case for the product team to follow up on.
- Client brand standards in Copy Generator: today's guidance is company-level, with the option to upload your own files and instruct the prompt on how to prioritise them. Client marketing teams should also check with their AI ambassadors.
"Every hour AI saves is an hour spent on work only people can do. Your strategy, your judgement, your relationships. That's what makes your campaigns land. That's your craft."
